Job Summary
Maintain fresh and appealing displays by keeping cases and shelves clean, well-stocked, and rotated to remove out-of-date products. Perform opening, mid, and closing duties while ensuring accuracy of signs and pricing, and assist with periodic inventory checks. Proactively sell products by learning basic knowledge of all items carried, visually examining goods for quality, and delivering clear information to customers, vendors, and team members. Adhere to established procedures for weights and measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices, immediately reporting any safety hazards or violations.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to sell proactively
- Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in department
- Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness
- Proactively reads labels and familiarizes oneself on various products
- Ability to deliver information in a clear and respectable manner to fellow Team Members, customers, and vendors
- Ability to meet customer service expectations and standards in all interactions with customers, vendors, and Team Members
