Job Summary
Maintain safety as the top priority while receiving ingredients from storage areas, weighing and scaling components, mixing batters, molding dough, and baking goods using full range methods. Lead the team by example to enable guest service, directing members through work lists, overseeing training, and performing Team Leader duties in their absence. Complete production sheets, monitor ordering systems, track inventory to reduce shrink, and execute price changes and merchandise initiatives. Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs.
Required Qualifications
- 6 months to 1 year experience
- Associate or Bachelor's degree
- Culinary Certification in Pastry/Bakery
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
- Regional travel daily less than 10%
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to write department orders, monitor ordering, and supervise stocking and receiving
- Ability to track and reduce out of stocks
- Ability to participate in taking of physical inventories
- Ability to cultivate strong working relationships with guests/vendors/suppliers
- Ability to comply and perform self-assessments to maintain necessary standards
- Ability to pass all Steritech, internal and external audits
- Ability to follow work designs and methods
- Ability to follow company sampling requirements/push items/suggestive selling
- Ability to comply with Day of the Week Merchandising initiatives
- Ability to follow merchandise letters and PDPs
- Ability to execute all sign package responsibilities
- Ability to make daily/weekly price changes
- Ability to lead the team by example

- Ability to receive food ingredients and supplies from dry ingredient, frozen ingredient and packaging storage areas
- Ability to understand all ingredients and purpose of each used in manufacturing baked goods
- Ability to weigh and scale ingredients

- Ability to deposit batters or dough
- Ability to make up or mold dough or batters
- Ability to proof yeast baked goods
- Ability to bake using a full range of baking methods
- Ability to check and test baked goods for a quality finish
- Ability to finish and display baked breads, rolls, croissants
- Ability to replenish service lines
- Ability to complete production sheets and other records
- Ability to direct, oversee and evaluate all training of new and current Team Members
- Ability to use work lists
- Ability to understand and perform all duties required of a clerk
- Ability to utilize all available tools to help reduce and eliminate shrink
- Ability to take an active role in building the store's product assortment
- Ability to prepare, maintain and track records concerning inventories and work processes
- Ability to calculate monthly gross profits according to company policy
- Ability to follow company policy
- Ability to welcome Team Members to the family
