Bakery Manager

Job Summary
Direct and supervise all functions of the bakery department, ensuring overall direction and leadership. Responsibilities include following merchandising plans, ordering to maintain inventory control, enforcing policies regarding receiving and restocking for product rotation, participating in shrink control, and scheduling department employees. Monitor product quality and freshness while ensuring compliance with local and governmental regulations. Oversee training of bakery staff, greet customers, maintain positive employee relations, and manage budgeted percentages related to sales and shrink control. Additionally, must be capable of decorating cakes.
Required Qualifications
- Must have math skills at a level that would enable accurate counting of merchandise
- Must have strong communications skills
- Must have dexterity of hands to enable bagging and packaging of products
- Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds up to fifty percent (50%) of the time
