Job Summary
The Bakery Manager is responsible for directing and supervising all functions of the bakery department, ensuring overall leadership within the team. Key responsibilities include following merchandising plans, maintaining inventory control, overseeing production and quality of bakery products, and training new employees. The manager will promote a positive work environment, comply with safety and sanitation policies, and assist with customer service. Essential skills include strong communication, math skills for inventory management, and the ability to lift heavy items.
Required Qualifications
- Must have math skills at a level that would enable accurate counting of merchandise
- Must have strong communications skills
- Must have dexterity of hands to enable bagging and packaging of products
- Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds up to fifty percent (50%) of the time
