Job Summary
Mentor and guide all Bakery associates while ensuring adequate staffing through interviews and hiring. Train new associates, finalize weekly schedules, and conduct performance reviews to maintain high service standards. Oversee department operations including inventory, pricing, product freshness, and cleanliness while adhering to food safety regulations. Monitor sales floor conditions, handle guest inquiries, and collaborate with store leadership to exceed expectations. Develop Assistant Bakery Managers and leads for future advancement.
Required Qualifications
- WI Certified Food Manager License
- Five to seven years of grocery or bakery experience
- at least two years in a key leadership position
- High School Education or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to stand in place for long periods of time
- Ability to walk in the store
- Ability to bend, stoop and kneel regularly (50% of time)
- Fine finger and broad manual dexterity
- Eye-hand-foot coordination
- Full range of upper body motion
- Ability to occasionally lift stock
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time
- Functional sensory abilities
- Ability to visually monitor the store
- Ability to create attractive displays
- Ability to operate equipment
- Ability to operate slicer
- Ability to operate mixer
- Ability to operate oven
- Ability to operate knives and cutters
- Ability to operate pallet or power jack
- Ability to operate WAV
- Ability to operate compactor
- Ability to operate baler
- Ability to operate other baking equipment
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures (20% of time)
- Ability to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
