Job Summary
Lead and inspire Bakery associates by mentoring staff, conducting performance reviews, and enforcing corrective actions when necessary. Manage staffing levels through interviews and hiring, while finalizing weekly schedules to ensure efficient department operations. Oversee all standards, inventory, and pricing to maintain quality, and monitor sales floor conditions to keep products fresh and visually appealing. Provide outstanding guest service, handle special requests, and collaborate with store leadership to exceed expectations. Maintain a clean, safe environment adhering to food safety regulations and develop future leadership talent.
Required Qualifications
- WI Certified Food Manager License
- Five to seven years of grocery or bakery experience
- at least two years in a key leadership position
- High School Education or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must possess the ability to stand in place for long periods of time
- Must possess the ability to walk in the store
- Must possess the ability to bend, stoop and kneel regularly (50% of time)
- Requires fine finger and broad manual dexterity
- Requires eye-hand-foot coordination in order to operate equipment
- Must possess functional sensory abilities in order to visually monitor the store
- Requires the ability to have full range of upper body motion in order to occasionally lift stock
- Requires the ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time
- Must possess the ability to lift up to 60 pounds on an occasional basis (20% of time)
- Proper training and knowledge of power equipment which may include: slicer, mixer, oven, knives and cutters, pallet or power jack, WAV, compactor, baler, and/or other baking equipment
- Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all associates
- Ability to quickly assess and resolve issues in a dynamic and stressful work environment while supporting team members
- Comprehensive understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies
- Knowledge of the retail food business and perishable department operations, and merchandising expertise

- Good oral and written communication skills
