Job Summary
Bakery/Deli Clerk responsible for Bakery/Deli Department operations including readiness, staffing/supervision, price maintenance, inventory, policies and procedures, cleanliness, and safe equipment use. Replenishment and inventory processes cover ordering, receiving, invoicing, back stock, returns, and damage control. Merchandising and floor standards focus on stocking, displays, signing, and zoning; fresh food preparation and production emphasize food safety and quality. The role emphasizes customer service, relationship-building, conscientiousness, teamwork, and alignment with Harps’ mission, with a flexible schedule and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in varied conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred
- No previous work experience required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- Adaptable to different situations and shifting priorities
- Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions
- Moves, lifts, carries and places merchandise weighing up to 25 pounds
- Continuous standing and walking
- Ability to work in varied weather conditions and potential exposure to cleaning solvents or allergens
- Employment may require completion of a PEP survey, drug screen, reference checks, and background checks
