Job Summary
Greet, engage, and thank every guest at the Deli/Bakery counter while serving customers in the department. Weigh, package, price, and label bakery and deli items, then slice meats and cheeses using the deli slicer. Prepare salad bar items, various deli salads, pizzas, sandwiches, and wraps according to the daily production schedule. Assist with stocking, rotating, and facing the department, maintaining back coolers, and cleaning equipment including knives, ovens, fryers, and slicers. Train and mentor new associates while adhering to safety and sanitation regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Eagerness to interact with customers
- Strong sense of team
- Ability to work at a fast pace and efficient manner
- Ability to take initiative and make decisions independently regarding department needs and priorities
- Excellent time management, prioritization and organization skills
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, push/pull for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
