Job Summary
Package, cut, weigh, price, and stock bakery department selections while rotating inventory and assisting customers with orders and product location. Greet shoppers with prompt, courteous service, answer phones, and process all customer requests within time guidelines. Operate necessary equipment including slicers, bailers, and floral cutters, and handle damaged or spoiled products per department standards. Stand, walk, and lift up to 75 pounds frequently while working in extreme cold, wet, humid, or outdoor conditions. Maintain a neat appearance and comply with all safety, sanitation, and legal policies. Assist in training associates and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to hear, speak and understand the spoken word in the English language
- Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret and understand the English language
- General math ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for 8 or more hour periods
- Must be able to regularly bend, lift and/or move 25+ pounds
- Must be able to frequently bend, lift and/or move 50+ pounds
- Must be able to occasionally bend, lift and/or move 75+ pounds (with assistance)
- Must be able to reach and move items above shoulder height
- Must be able to work in and between extreme cold, wet, humid or hot conditions
- Must be able to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects
- Must be 18 years old to use slicers, bailers, floral cutters, etc.
- Must be 18 or older to operate power equipment
- Must be able to work outside in either extreme hot, cold, wet, etc. conditions

- Ability to count, separate and weigh all types of products
