Job Summary
Prepare, bake, and package bakery items (cookies, bread, muffins) and assist the Bakery Manager with pricing and merchandising in a fast-paced Sprouts Farmers Market environment. Provide high-level customer service, ensure items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented, and maintain a clean, sanitary bakery area. Responsibilities include stocking, face, price accuracy, rotate products, discard outdated items, receive and inspect shipments for temperature and quality, open to special orders, and assist with phones and overall department housekeeping. Capable of standing for long periods and handling equipment as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years Bakery experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Outgoing, friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and team orientation
- Ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
- Ability to operate knives, scales, wrappers, and related equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and safety; have and maintain a Food Handlers permit
