Job Summary
Bakery Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market responsible for preparing and packaging baked goods, assisting in pricing and merchandising, and delivering high-level customer service in a fast-paced bakery department. The role involves maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace, stocking and rotating bakery items, weighing and labeling products, and supporting the Bakery Manager with daily operations. Requires food-handling knowledge, ability to operate bakery tools and equipment, physical stamina for long shifts, and flexible availability including nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old with a High School diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Dependable with flexibility including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Outgoing, friendly demeanor with strong customer service
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Ability to answer phones and take special orders
- Maintain clean and sanitary bakery area and equipment
- Operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, pallet jacks, hand trucks
- Stand for extended periods and lift/move items as required
- Adhere to safety, health, and food handling regulations
