Job Summary
As a Bakery Clerk, the role involves maintaining and operating the Bakery Department, ensuring shelves are presentable and adequately filled, controlling product freshness by coding and pulling out-of-code merchandise, and wrapping, packaging, and pricing products accurately. The clerk must also maintain cleaning and sanitation standards, provide prompt and courteous customer service, and abide by company policies. Additional responsibilities include answering phones, taking special orders, assisting in baking, and unloading merchandise.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Dexterity in hands to wrap and package products
- Ability to read and write to properly tag and price products
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds as needed
