Job Summary
The Bakery Clerk is responsible for maintaining and operating the Bakery Department, which includes tasks such as keeping shelves presentable and adequately filled, controlling product freshness, wrapping and pricing products accurately, and ensuring cleanliness and sanitation according to company policies. The role also involves providing prompt and courteous customer service, greeting customers, answering phones for special orders, assisting in baking, and properly handling merchandise deliveries.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication skills for customer service
- Dexterity in hands to wrap and package products
- Ability to read and write for tagging and pricing products
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds as needed
