Job Summary
Provide exceptional guest service by greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and handling special requests for cakes and custom bakery products. Assist guests in locating specific items, take accurate orders, and package products with care while maintaining quality and minimizing waste. Package and price items, replenish bakery products to ensure appealing display standards, and monitor stock levels to meet demand. Rotate stock to ensure freshness, remove outdated items, and maintain cleanliness of work areas and shelves. Adhere to food safety protocols, keep accurate records, and perform other duties as needed to support the team.
Required Qualifications
- Customer Focus: Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all personnel
- Communication Skills: Good oral and written communication skills
- Safety Awareness: Complete understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies
- Standing for extended periods of time (80% of time)
- Lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis (20% of time)
- Frequently near moving machinery (50% of time)
- Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures (20% of time)
- Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule
- Adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
