Job Summary
Provide exceptional guest service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and handling special requests for cakes and custom bakery products. Assist guests in locating specific items, take accurate orders, and package products with care while maintaining quality and minimizing waste. Replenish bakery products to ensure appealing display standards, monitor stock levels, and rotate inventory to remove outdated items. Package and price items, maintain cleanliness of work areas and shelves, and adhere to food safety protocols and accurate record-keeping. Perform other duties as needed to support the team, including answering phone calls courteously.
Required Qualifications
- Customer Focus: Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all personnel
- Communication Skills: Good oral and written communication skills
- Safety Awareness: Complete understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies
- Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule
- adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
- Standing for extended periods of time (80% of time)
- Lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis (20% of time)
- Frequently near moving machinery (50% of time)
- Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures (20% of time)
