Job Summary
Provide exceptional guest service by greeting customers, answering phone calls, and assisting with locating bakery items or handling special requests. Take accurate orders for cakes and other custom products while packaging items with care. Manage merchandising duties including pricing, restocking shelves, and rotating stock to ensure freshness and minimize waste. Maintain cleanliness and adhere to food safety protocols by removing outdated items and following safety policies. Perform other duties as needed to support the team, with flexibility for part-time or full-time hours including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Customer Focus: Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all personnel
- Communication Skills: Good oral and written communication skills
- Safety Awareness: Complete understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies
- Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule
- adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
- Standing for extended periods of time (80% of time)
- Lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis (20% of time)
- Frequently near moving machinery (50% of time)
- Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures (20% of time)
