Bakery Clerk

Job Summary
Provide exceptional guest service by greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and assisting with locating bakery items or handling special requests. Take accurate orders for cakes and other custom products, then package and price items while maintaining quality and minimizing waste. Replenish shelves and monitor stock levels to ensure appealing display standards and product availability. Rotate stock and remove outdated items to uphold food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness throughout the work area. Perform other duties as needed to support the team while adhering to all safety requirements and attendance commitments.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 16+
- Available from 12 PM - 6 PM
- Weekend availability
- Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all personnel
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Complete understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies
- Standing for extended periods of time (80% of time)
- Lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis (20% of time)
- Frequently near moving machinery (50% of time)
- Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures (20% of time)
- Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule
- Adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
