Job Summary
Provide exceptional guest service by greeting visitors, answering questions, and executing special orders while maintaining professionalism. Produce high-quality pastry and bakery items by following recipes and production lists precisely, ensuring attention to dates and freshness. Maintain cleanliness in prep areas and adhere to Health Department guidelines, including proper glove use and sanitation practices. Oversee sales floor items and manage cooler, freezer, and dry storage areas to ensure adequate evening coverage. Support the team by assisting associates with daily responsibilities and performing other duties as needed. Maintain food safety logs and meet quantity expectations at 100% by designated times. This part-time or full-time role includes mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays with flexibility for evenings or overnight shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to effectively deal with guests and all personnel
- Strong understanding of baking and pastry production
- Knowledge of foodservice operations
- Follow all safety requirements and company safety policies
- Proper training and knowledge of bakery equipment and procedures
- Knowledge of ovens
- Knowledge of mixers
- Knowledge of slicing machinery
- Stand in one spot for a long period of time
- Bend, stoop, and kneel regularly
- Full range of upper body motion
- Lifting up to 60 pounds on a frequent basis
- Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures
- Frequently near moving machinery
- Repetitive motion of hands and wrists
- Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule
- Adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
