Job Summary
Delivers daily bakery operations by creating a welcoming environment, promoting and executing compliant conditions, and providing fresh, appealing products with prompt service. Offers product samples, answers questions, and fulfills customer requests and special orders while maintaining proper product temperature and inventory levels. Operates bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, and scales according to guidelines, ensuring safety protocols, sanitation, and regulatory compliance are followed. Reviews products for quality, manages discarding processes, and reports safety hazards or accidents to management. Works varied shifts in a retail bakery setting, occasionally lifting up to 250 lbs and standing or walking on various flooring types.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
- Operate bakery equipment (e.g., slicer, oven, scale, knives, box cutter and pricing gun) according to company guidelines
- High School / GED
- English
- Spanish
- 0 -3 yrs minimum
- 250 lbs. lifting
- 35 lbs. lifting
- Occasional travel
- Varied shifts
