Job Summary
Deliver friendly, fast, and memorable customer service by greeting guests, assisting with product selection, and operating the point-of-sale system accurately. Prepare coffee, tea, and specialty beverages while maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment through proper merchandising and adherence to Health Department regulations. Cross-train in multiple areas including cashier, bar, bread, and cake operations, working collaboratively with teammates and store leadership to ensure smooth daily shifts. Weekend and holiday availability is strongly preferred, with at least 20 hours per week required. This role supports 85°C Bakery Cafe's mission to craft fresh, high-quality breads, handcrafted pastries, and specialty beverages for customers across the United States.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak and understand conversational English
- Availability to work at least 20 hours per week
- Ability to obtain and maintain a ServSafe Food Handler Certification (where required)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to perform repetitive hand movements
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and squat
- Ability to work in varying temperatures including coolers and freezers
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred
