Job Summary
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, controls, and automation equipment including Power Distribution Studio5000, Logix5000, drives, and motion control systems. Perform preventative maintenance, create work orders, and execute equipment changeovers while adhering to GMP standards and safety protocols. Coach peers on defect identification, resolution, and repair skills; document corrective and preventative actions; and maintain accurate electronic databases of repair activities and parts usage. Lead shift pass-downs to discuss safety, quality, and production issues; facilitate effective shift transitions. Lead projects to improve safety, quality, and production results in the designated area. Work a 12-hour shift with flexibility for overtime covering down days and outages; obtain Level 9 Technician certification within a reasonable timeframe.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be an Identified Level 6
- Level 8 Qualified Preferred
- No Written Warnings in the last 12 months
- Ability to work under limited supervision
- Root cause determination experience
- Basic Excel Skills
- Communication skills
- Critical Thinking skills (FA and/or Why-Whys)
- Basic Spotfire knowledge
- Must obtain/maintain maintenance low voltage qualification within twelve months of start date
- Must sign off as a Level 9 Technician within reasonable timeframe (to be discussed with manager)
- Must be available for a 12-hour shift
- Must be available for overtime related to covering down day activities
- Must be available for coverage for outages on other teams
Desired Qualifications
- Associates or technical degree or training
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience with electrical systems, PLC, motor and motion controls, SCADA systems, device and information networks, sensors, instrumentation equipment for manufacturing
- Proven track record of good attendance and consistent performance delivering consistent safety and quality
- Flexibility with working a 12-hour shift and overtime related to covering down day activities as well as for coverage for outages on other teams
