Job Summary

Conduct daily baking operations for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catered events using standardized recipes while maintaining strict adherence to CBORD, FSS, and HACCP guidelines. Manage inventory control by ensuring par values do not exceed 11 1⁄2 weeks and practicing FIFO rotation, plus label all food items for allergen safety using Net Nutrition and Bartender Labelling systems. Interact effectively with customers and coworkers to ensure a welcoming dining experience, assist in developing kitchen staff, and address issues per the Conflict Resolution Policy. Requires two years of baking experience, current SERVSAFE certification, and the ability to lift 40 lbs. Full-time 40-hour schedule from Tuesday through Saturday (2:00 am–10:30 am) with premium pay for holidays and weekends at Paresky Kitchen.

Required Qualifications

A minimum of 2 years of baking experience
Must be able to interpret and apply standardized recipes
Good communication skills
Current SERVSAFE certification or has successfully completed a sanitation course within the past year
Must be able to work independently
Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
Must be able to handle heavy material involving lifting of at least 40 lbs
Must be able to bend and complete duties as assigned
Must be enthusiastic, energetic and possess strong customer service skills
Ability to relate to customers and staff in a professional manner is essential
