Job Summary
Baker responsible for baking, finishing, and serving restaurant-quality baked goods across Student Dining Room, Joes Coffee Shop, Commons, Catering and other events. Follow approved recipes, rotate prepped bakery items using FIFO, properly label and date products, maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen per health standards, supervise student workers, and assist in new product development and recipe evaluation to keep offerings varied and wholesome. Work under the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef to coordinate production schedules and catering orders, while ensuring proper equipment, utensils, and storage practices are maintained.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years of high-volume food prep and cooking experience in a hotel, restaurant, club or similar institution
- Certificate in Food Service Sanitation (ServSafe) within six months of hire date
- Able to work in the US legally without sponsorship
