Job Summary
Baker I will execute and follow recipes to produce a range of baked goods and desserts for the property, including breads, rolls, cookies, muffins, pies, and cakes. Responsibilities include food safety and quality checks, decorating and presenting finished products, reading and following recipes, using mixers/ovens/other equipment, rotating stock, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting department teamwork while adhering to SOPs and company standards. The role requires attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen, and communication with management and guests, with responsibilities extending to inventory records and ensuring readiness for subsequent shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous commercial kitchen baking experience
- Ability to work with kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and microwaves
- Knowledge of proper rotation procedures including FIFO
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multitasking and deadlines
- Strong communication, time and resource management, and planning skills
- Attention to detail and quality inspections
- Effective communication with Guests, Team Members and Management
- Ability to work well within a team and with a diverse group
- ServSafe Food Handler card
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License
