Job Summary
Baker role responsible for preparing and baking bakery products to ensure freshest quality for display and sale. Works as part of the Bakery team to prepare products according to scratch recipes, operate proofing and baking processes, rotate products, maintain sanitation and safety, and provide exemplary guest service. Responsibilities include bench work, assembling ingredients for scratch recipes, baking to specified times/temperatures, handling donuts and other bakery items, recording special orders, assisting customers with product knowledge and recommendations, and supporting backroom operations (cooler/freezer and back stock). Requires 6–12 months of baking or apprenticeship experience, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and adherence to safety/sanitation standards. This role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and maintaining product quality across Giant Eagle’s bakery offerings in the Greater Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Columbus, and Indianapolis areas.”,

- 6 to 12 months experience or successful completion of the Giant Eagle Apprenticeship program
