Job Summary
Baker role at COBS Bread in Spruce Grove, Alberta, starting as early as 2:00 AM. Work with a small team to bake a variety of products from scratch, read production schedules and recipes, measure and mix ingredients, mold and shape dough, and operate baking equipment. Maintain a clean, organized bakery and deliver exceptional customer service in a morning-shift environment. Training opportunities available through Bronze and Silver baker Development Qualification programs; physical tasks include standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and repetitive baking activities. Friendly, collaborative team culture with opportunities for growth and community involvement.
Required Qualifications
- Early risers who can start shifts as early as 2:00 AM
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn, regardless of previous experience
- Team players with strong communication and organizational skills
- A commitment to producing high-quality baked goods while maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in the bakery
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 22 kg (50 lbs)
- Frequent reaching, bending, and turning while performing baking tasks
- Constant use of hands for mixing, shaping, and operating baking equipment
