Job Summary
Produce the entire line of baked goods including quality cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and biscotti while following recipes and maintaining raw material standards. Bake and decorate products according to Carlo's Bakery product standards, rotate inventory using FIFO, and ensure operations comply with food safety and sanitation protocols. Prepare specialty cake orders, enter sales data into Salesforce, and guide front-of-house staff on product selection. Maintain a clean production area, sanitize equipment, and provide efficient, courteous service to guests. Work on your feet for extended periods, manage pace during busy hours, and perform other duties as directed by a manager.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years Baking/Decorating experience or a Culinary Program Degree
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Ability to work well in a busy environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time (8+ hours a day)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays (according to customer demand)
- Food Protection Certification holder or willing to obtain certification within 30 days of employment
