Job Summary
Greet, assist, and thank customers while providing accurate, fast, and courteous checkout service. Package purchases to prevent damage, push groceries in carts, and load items into customer vehicles. Check merchandise prices, restock supplies efficiently, and return discarded items. Collect shopping carts from parking areas and maintain a clean, hazard-free work zone. Report faulty equipment, theft, shoplifting, or policy violations to management. Work varied schedules in indoor, outdoor, and potentially wet or cold conditions, lifting up to 100 lbs and pulling up to 150 lbs. Utilize equipment including pallet jacks, scales, and pricing guns.
Required Qualifications
- Meet legal and company policy age requirements to perform job functions.
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
- Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
- Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
- Ability to carry, push, or lift up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to pull up to 150 lbs.
- Ability to stand or walk on tile or concrete.
- Ability to use hands or fingers to handle, hold or feel objects, tools or controls.
- Ability to talk, see, hear, smell and perform repetitive movements with both hands and/or both feet.
- Ability to sit, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach at waist level or overhead.
- Ability to climb up to 10 ft.
- Ability to work in indoor, outdoor, cold, heated, and wet/humid working conditions.
- Ability to twist back and/or neck.
- Ability to walk on a slippery or cluttered floor surface.
- Ability to work with hazardous equipment.
- Ability to be exposed to sharp objects.
- Ability to be exposed to loud noise, skin irritants, nuisance dust, fumes and sprays, hazardous cleaning solutions and other toxins.
- Ability to work varied schedules.
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
