Job Summary
Greet, assist, and thank customers while accurately packaging purchases and expediting groceries from the checkout lane to the customer's vehicle. Unload items onto the conveyor belt, check merchandise prices, and restock supplies efficiently to maintain the lowest cost. Collect shopping carts from the parking lot and return them to the designated area, keeping the work zone clean and reporting any faulty equipment or safety hazards. Notify management of theft, shoplifting, or policy violations as they occur. Utilize various tools including case cutters, scales, and pallet jacks to perform essential functions while adhering to all company policies and physical safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Meet legal and company policy age requirements to perform job functions.
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
- Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
- Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
- Ability to carry, push, or lift up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to pull up to 150 lbs.
- Ability to stand or walk on tile or concrete.
- Ability to use hands or fingers to handle, hold or feel objects, tools or controls.
- Ability to talk, see, hear, smell and perform repetitive movements with both hands and/or both feet.
- Ability to sit, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach at waist level or overhead.
- Ability to climb up to 10 ft.
- Ability to work in indoor, outdoor, cold, heated, and wet/humid working conditions.
- Ability to twist back and/or neck.
- Ability to walk on a slippery or cluttered floor surface.
- Ability to work with hazardous equipment.
- Ability to be exposed to sharp objects.
- Ability to be exposed to loud noise, skin irritants, nuisance dust, fumes and sprays, hazardous cleaning solutions and other toxins.
- Ability to work varied schedules.
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
