Job Summary
Baggage Service Supervisor oversees daily baggage handling, ramp, and passenger-service operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with standards in a fast-paced airport setting. Responsibilities include supervising frontline personnel, coordinating baggage movement between aircraft and terminals, ensuring VIP travelers receive discreet service, monitoring staffing and shift coverage, conducting safety briefings, inspecting equipment and facilities, supporting incident investigations and corrective actions, coaching and developing staff, maintaining professional appearance, and ensuring timely operational performance and service timelines. Requires strong English communication, safety-conscious leadership, and experience in airport/ground handling environments; on-site, rotating shifts including weekends/holidays. Education: high school diploma or equivalent preferred; valid driver’s license and SIDA eligibility required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a SIDA badge
- Minimum 2–3 years of airport operations, baggage handling, ramp, or airline service experience preferred
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Experience working in fast-paced aviation or ground handling operations strongly preferred
- Familiarity with airport safety procedures and operational compliance requirements preferred
- Ability to speak, read, and understand English required
- Must be able to pass the driving record
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work professionally with high-profile individuals and maintain confidentiality when necessary
- Must be able to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as operationally required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and attention to detail
- Professional appearance and adherence to company grooming and uniform standards
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening prior to employment
