Job Summary
Manage bag room operations by preparing and maintaining golf carts, stocking them with supplies, and ensuring they are clean and charged. Handle member bags, wash clubs, and enforce sign-out procedures for all equipment taken off property. Operate the driving range by opening and closing it, checking comfort stations, picking up balls, and maintaining chipping greens. Monitor storage areas for neatness, notify the mechanic of vehicle issues, and assist with special events while enforcing center policies. Communicate professionally with members and staff to ensure a positive image for The Polo Club.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Good driving record
- Ability to communicate well in English
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of members or employees of organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Mobility to carry and lift golf bags above the head weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to remain on one's feet and work in outside conditions for long periods
- Ability to prepare reports
- Ability to verbally communicate well in English and in writing
- Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English
- Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, co-workers and members
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
- Requires some knowledge of the game of golf
