Job Summary
Operate bag machinery continuously, starting and stopping equipment to maintain budgeted speeds while threading paper and changing rolls. Monitor production for quality defects, perform necessary checks, and submit accurate daily reports. Adhere strictly to safety rules, PPE requirements, and good manufacturing practices. Report machine adjustments and repairs to supervisors. Meet goals for safety, quality, production waste, and housekeeping. Perform other duties as assigned. Work the 2nd shift from 2:45pm to 11:00pm in Brownsville, TX.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Capable of communicating with all levels of internal and external customers
- Must be able to think on your feet, work with limited supervision and make sound decisions
- Should possess basic mechanical skills
- Must be capable of standing for long periods of time
- Ability to frequently lift and carry 50 lbs
- Must have basic troubleshooting abilities
- Regularly required to stand, sit, move about facility, climb stairs, bend, twist, kneel, crouch or crawl, use hands and fingers to touch, handle, or feel objects, tools and controls, grasp, push, pull, reach with hands and arms, lift above shoulder level
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
