Job Summary
Load bags of soiled linen onto rail/conveyor systems to supply sort/count workstations. Transfer soil linen slings or clean linen slings to the washroom or Flatwork area as needed. Assist sort/count workstations, clean empty carts, and maintain a clean work area. Meet efficiency and safety standards while following supervision instructions. Perform other tasks in production positions as required. Work in an industrial laundry facility environment with variations in temperature, odors, humidity, lint, and dust.
Required Qualifications
- Recognize colors and sizes and count accurately.
- Meet the physical requirements of the job.
- Recognize colors, sizes, and different products.
- Comprehend and follow directions.
- Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, walk, reach overhead, push, pull, grasp, stoop, see, and hear for the entire shift.
- Must be able to work in production areas with variations in temperature, odors, humidity, lint, and dust.
- Must be able to work with soiled linens from restaurants, hotels, medical facilities, and shops.
- Must be able to meet efficiency and safety standards for the position.
