Job Summary
Load bags of soiled linen onto rail/conveyor systems to provide sort/count workstations with bags for processing. Transfer soil linen slings/carts to the washroom or clean linen slings/carts to the Flatwork area. Assist sort/count workstations as needed and clean empty carts. Maintain efficiency and safety standards while following instructions as directed by supervision. Keep the work area clean and perform other tasks as needed in production positions. Work in an industrial laundry facility handling soiled linens from restaurants, hotels, medical facilities, and shops.
Required Qualifications
- Recognize colors and sizes and count accurately.
- Meet the physical requirements of the job.
- Recognize colors, sizes, and different products.
- Comprehend and follow directions.
- Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, walk, reach overhead, push, pull, grasp, stoop, see, and hear for the entire shift.
- Must be available for travel to production areas with variations in temperature, odors, humidity, lint, and dust.
- Must pass a drug screening.
