Job Summary
Lead colleagues in executing assigned tasks, supervising the selling floor to deliver exceptional customer service while role modeling fast feedback for outstanding experiences. Fulfill customer orders, manage merchandising, and process new products, ensuring high-level service through problem-solving and resolutions. Promote the Macy's mobile app to enhance the in-store experience and meet with People Leaders to plan and monitor total store activities. Perform opening and closing procedures, including alarm system access and register settlement, while adhering to merchandise standards and educating staff on point of sale technology. Work flexible shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, requiring lifting up to 50lbs and standing for consecutive hours.
Required Qualifications
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
- Proficient in communicating effectively with customers and providing clear direction to colleagues
- Self-starter in adapting quickly to changing customer expectations and needs
- Resourceful and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Lifting at least 50lbs.
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
- Reaching, including above eye level, crouching, kneeling, stooping and color vision
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years of direct retail experience preferred
