Job Summary
Backhoe Operator needed at Chalfont Quarry to operate backhoe, perform daily inspections, follow MSHA safety policies, and work as part of a site team. Responsibilities include starting and operating the loader, moving and tilting the bucket to load material, performing routine maintenance, completing daily inspection sheets, and adhering to company policies. Requires a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience), 1 year of backhoe experience or related training, ability to pass fit testing and use PPE, physical ability to meet job demands, and effective verbal/written communication. MSHA safety certification and prior experience in quarry/heavy civil construction are preferred. The role entails working in a loud outdoor environment with exposure to moving equipment and outdoor weather, with pre-employment drug testing and EOE considerations. Great benefits offered.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- At least 1 year of backhoe experience or equivalent training
- MSHA or other relevant safety certification
- Ability to fit test and utilize PPE
- Ability to meet physical requirements (lifting, movement)
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Experience operating heavy equipment in quarry/heavy civil setting (preferred)
