Background Screening Specialist, Public Records

Job Summary
Process public record searches including state, county, and federal criminal records, MVRs, credit reports, SSN traces, and bankruptcy results. Enter customer orders, research database hits, and deliver completed reports while ensuring accurate and prompt turnaround. Input thorough notes when determining adjudication results and track information to the correct resources. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of search guidelines and compliance standards while meeting personal and team production targets. Work from home two days per week and in the office three days per week.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ months of related experience in verifications, criminal research, customer support, or a customer-facing role
- Intermediate level of skill in Office 365 - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Demonstrated ability to learn and understand basic office software applications
- Ability to provide coaching and training to peers
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organization and follow-up skills
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work both individually and as a member of a team
- Ability to work effectively and accurately within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to work from home 2 days per week and in the office location 3 days per week
- Ability to work within the regulations and compliance standards of PBSA accreditation
Desired Qualifications
- A two-year degree from a college or technical school or an equivalent combination of education and experience
