Job Summary
Remote Background Screening Research Associate responsible for conducting comprehensive background investigations (address history traces, SSN validations, and database searches), researching and retrieving records from federal/state/county courts, analyzing criminal background checks and licensing requirements, and communicating professionally with sources while maintaining confidentiality. Requires strong analytical skills, ability to follow detailed procedures, independence, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual collaboration tools. This fully remote role is based in North Carolina and emphasizes compliance and accuracy in background verification.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to obtain Basic FCRA Certification (training provided)
- Typing speed of at least 45 WPM with high accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and virtual communication tools (Teams, Zoom)
- Must have a dedicated private workspace with high-speed internet and a wired Ethernet connection
- Experience in background research, compliance, or investigative roles is preferred
