Job Summary
Operate heavy equipment for underground pipe installation, grading, and street reconstruction while reading blueprints, grading stakes, and utility locates. Perform daily equipment inspections, preventative maintenance, and truck loading tasks. Maneuver around obstacles and buried utilities without direct supervision. Maintain equipment cleanliness and work safely around other crews and live traffic. Work a full-time schedule from March through December, Monday through Friday, 7:00 to 5:30, with possible weekend work totaling 40 to 55 hours weekly depending on weather. Must hold a valid Class C driver's license and complete required safety training including OSHA, trench safety, and flagger courses.
