Job Summary
Lead daily bagel production and quality control while developing core recipes and seasonal specialties for our new Berlin bakery. Manage inventory, build supplier relationships, and oversee the recruitment, training, and scheduling of the baking team. Ensure full compliance with hygiene and safety standards while cultivating a positive, collaborative work environment focused on learning and growth. Required Qualifications
- Abgeschlossene Ausbildung als Bäckermeister (m/w/d) oder in naher Zukunft geplant
- Must have a Bäckermeistertitel or will obtain one soon
- Mindestens 3 Jahre Berufserfahrung im handwerklichen Bäckereibereich
- 3+ years of professional bakery experience
- Mindestens 2 Jahre Erfahrung in einer Führungs- oder Betriebsleitungsrolle
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership or operations role in a food service or bakery setting
- Nachgewiesene Fähigkeit, Mitarbeitende anzuleiten, zu motivieren und im Team zu arbeiten
- Proven ability to train and manage staff and work in a close-knit team
- Leidenschaft für gutes Essen, Nachhaltigkeit und Gemeinschaft
- Passion for food, sustainability, and community
- Gute Englisch- und Deutschkenntnisse
- Good command of English and German
Desired Qualifications
- Erfahrung beim Aufbau oder der Eröffnung einer neuen Bäckerei oder eines gastronomischen Betriebs
- Experience opening a new food business or bakery
- Kenntnisse im Umgang mit regionalen Produkten und saisonaler Menügestaltung
- Familiarity with local sourcing and seasonal menu development
- Kulinarische Erfahrung über das Backen hinaus (z. B. herzhafte Küche, Menüplanung)
- Culinary experience beyond baking (savory cooking, menu planning)
