Job Summary
Join a dynamic Fintech startup as a Senior Backend Web Developer where you will leverage your coding expertise to create cutting-edge products leveraging Blockchain technology for the securities and trading sectors. Candidates are expected to have extensive experience with Javascript, CSS, HTML, and familiarity with modern web frameworks such as Angular, Ember, and React.js. Proficiency in Python and Flask, SQL, API integration, and Linux is required, alongside Git/GitHub knowledge. The role also values previous UI/UX experience and familiarity with agile development methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience with Javascript, CSS, HTML
- Experience with jQuery
- Experience with modern web frameworks like Angular, Ember, and React.js
- 1.5+ years experience with Python and Flask (or 2.5+ years experience with similar web framework, and some experience with Python)
- Extensive experience with SQL, APIs (REST, JSON-RPC, etc), Git/GitHub (or similar RCS)
- 1+ years experience with Linux (Ubuntu and Bash experience preferred)
- Must be open to relocating to NYC if not living there already
Desired Qualifications
- Previous UI/UX design experience
- Experience with Test-Driven Development, unit testing & functional testing, Scrum/XP/Agile
- Previous Bitcoin development experience
- Familiarity with RabbitMQ/Celery, PostgreSQL, Redis, HAProxy, Nginx, Jquery, Selenium, Travis, Docker/fig/Ansible, Wiki/Restructured text, AWS, NoSQL (Mongo/Cassandra/etc)
- Previous Financial Technology (FinTech) experience
