Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary
Mid-Level Backend Software Engineer for KingMakers’ Engagement Squad within Customer, building and maintaining scalable backend services in C#/.NET 8. You’ll design, implement, test, and optimize backend components, contribute to system architecture and technical decisions, collaborate with product managers and designers, and drive improvements in pipelines, observability, and performance. Nice-to-have experience in iGaming or sports betting; familiarity with microservices, DDD, CI/CD, Terraform, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, Kafka, and NoSQL tools is beneficial.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency with C# and .NET 8+
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and domain-driven design (DDD)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Basic cloud platform exposure and willingness to work with Azure
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/AKS
- Knowledge of message queuing (RabbitMQ) and event streaming (Kafka)
- Strong focus on testing, code quality, and engineering best practices
- Understanding of performance tuning, caching strategies, and observability tools (Grafana, APM solutions)
- Security-conscious development mindset
