Backend Server Java Engineer

Job Summary
Own the backend stability and feature set roadmap for the Clover Go and Companion App applications by developing new features, resolving bugs, and refactoring the codebase. Translate product requirements into functional, maintainable software while collaborating with Web and Mobile Engineers to optimize response times. Implement new Clover applications from development through production monitoring and participate in a regular on-call rotation. Work with QA to develop test plans and strategies, ensuring high-quality releases. This role supports the company's expansion by driving realistic project planning and maintaining distributed system architecture.
Required Qualifications
- Strong Java developer
- Ability to prioritize assign and execute tasks throughout the entire SDLC
- Experience designing and developing using RESTful APIs
- Knowledge and experience developing solutions for distributed systems architecture including micro-services
- Superior problem-solving skills and debugging capabilities
- Familiarity with one or more SQL/RDBMS systems
- Adept at integrating with 3rd party API's and tools
- Flexible and self driven with a collaborative approach to problem solving
- Experience with a cloud platform: AWS, Google Cloud, etc.
- Knowledge and experience using ELK stack
- Participate in a regular on call rotation
