Backend Node.js Developer (Rust)

Job Summary
Design and maintain scalable backend services using Rust and Node.js, building high-performance APIs, microservices, and distributed systems for large-scale retail and eCommerce platforms. Optimize application performance, memory utilization, and system reliability while developing secure RESTful APIs and backend integrations. Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, QA, and DevOps teams to participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design. Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions by writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. Requires strong Rust expertise, Node.js proficiency, and experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
Required Qualifications
- Strong professional experience developing backend applications with Rust (Must Have)
- Strong experience with Node.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience building REST APIs and microservices
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and backend architecture
- Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
- Experience working in large-scale cloud-native environments
- Knowledge of observability tools, logging, and monitoring
- Experience supporting high-traffic consumer-facing applications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
