Job Summary
Develop, prototype, and build technology-driven ecommerce products using Java, J2EE, Spring, and Tomcat. Implement Kafka and JMS consumers to ingest data, manage SQL and NoSQL databases, and optimize cloud performance on Microsoft Azure. Design microservices with Spring Boot, create shell and SQL scripts for daily data feeds, and develop multi-threaded collectors processing thousands of messages per second. Integrate Apache Kibana with Elasticsearch for monitoring, configure scheduled reports via cron jobs, and execute test cases using JUnit and TestNG. Maintain system capacity, performance analysis, and application monitoring with Splunk while utilizing Jenkins, Maven, GitHub, and JIRA. This contract-to-hire role in Sunnyvale, CA, supports a direct client with 6-8 years of experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 6-8 years of experience
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3-5 years of experience
- Proven industry experience with large scale distributed systems
- Solid experience with object-oriented and/or event driven systems
- Strong programming experience in object oriented programming e.g. Java
