Job Summary
Backend Engineer at ERGO NEXT (Kfar Saba, Israel) focusing on building scalable backend services for a cloud-based insurance platform. Collaborate with product, marketing, and frontend teams; own features from inception to production with high quality and test coverage; work primarily with Java/Kotlin (and alternative languages like Python/.NET) in distributed, cloud-based environments (AWS advantageous); emphasize strong OO principles, relational SQL and document DBs, and experience leading features end-to-end.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years Backend development experience
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
- Java/Kotlin or similar languages (Python, .NET)
- Strong knowledge of OOP
- Experience with distributed cloud environments (AWS is a plus)
- Experience with Relational Databases and SQL
- Experience with Document DB is a plus
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience leading large-scale features from end-to-end is a plus
