Job Summary
Design and implement scalable backend systems and micro-services using Python, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL to support our global health tech platform. Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams to ensure high availability, continuous delivery, and robust security across AWS and Kubernetes environments. Mentor junior engineers while maintaining comprehensive documentation and API contracts. This role requires a 3+ year Python developer based within commuting distance of our Amsterdam office.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in Python programming language
- 3+ years of experience in the related field
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
- Experience with the cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders across the organization
- Excellent English communication skills
- Live within commuting distance to our office in Amsterdam
