Backend Engineer position on the Saily engineering team focusing on building and maintaining features for a scalable, AI-enabled product. Responsibilities include developing features end-to-end, supporting multi-dimensional personalization, experimentation and analytics, maintaining a high-quality codebase, improving performance, mentoring colleagues, influencing long-range team goals, conducting R&D when needed, and collaborating with cross-functional teams across engineering, product, and design. Required experience includes 4+ years in backend development with proficiency in Go, and familiarity with Kubernetes, microservices, SQL/NoSQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Redis), Kafka, and API design. Tools span Go, MySQL, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Redis, with frontend and mobile tech in the stack (Next.js, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, SwiftUI, Kotlin). The role requires in-office attendance 3 days per week in Kaunas/Vilnius, Lithuania, with options for remote work the remaining days.
