Job Summary
Develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot applications, REST APIs, and backend services for the Quest v2 platform migration. Build event-driven solutions using Kafka and asynchronous processing patterns while optimizing database interactions with MySQL. Write clean, maintainable code, create unit and integration tests, and participate in code reviews. Troubleshoot production issues, monitor application performance, and support deployments. Contribute to platform modernization, reusable components, and technical documentation. This individual contributor role focuses on software development and component ownership within a high-volume event-processing environment handling millions of daily events.
Required Qualifications
- 3–6 years of software development experience with Java
- Strong experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and backend service development
- Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, multithreading, and concurrency
- Experience with SQL and relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
- Familiarity with JUnit, Mockito, Git, Maven/Gradle, and Linux environments
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Kafka, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous processing
- Exposure to Redis, microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Experience modernizing legacy Java applications
- Knowledge of application monitoring, logging, tracing, and performance tuning
- Experience working on high-volume transaction or workflow-processing systems
