Backend Engineer - Card Issuing Team

Job Summary
Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs for the Card Issuing platform, building high-availability systems supporting card issuance and payment processing. Work with third-party APIs for local and global transactions, troubleshoot system issues, and address bugs and technical debt. Support regression and integration testing, implement security best practices, and build internal operational tools. Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and incident response while collaborating with Product, Design, QA, and Operations teams. Requires 3–5 years of backend experience in Golang, microservices, and SQL databases, with on-call duties. Join a team building fintech infrastructure across Southeast Asia.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 3–5 years of backend engineering experience, with a proven track record of building and operating production systems
- Strong proficiency in Golang
- Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with microservices architecture
- Experience with SQL databases, preferably MariaDB or MySQL
- Familiarity with Git and GitHub workflows
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn and operate in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Codex, Cursor, or similar
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and observability tools
